Man arrested by Terry County Sheriff's Office for Temple firearm theft

TEMPLE, TX — Update: Esteban Allan Aguilar has been arrested by Terry County Sheriff's Office on Friday, May 15.

"We want to thank Terry County Sheriff's Office for the assistance," Temple Police said.

The Temple Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are searching for information regarding the April 5 burglary of Hawkeye Shooting Academy, 119 N. 19th Street.

On April 5 between 11 p.m., and 1 a.m., at least three suspects forced entry into Hawkeye Shooting Academy. Once inside, the suspects stole 30 firearms from the display racks.

The suspects are described as slim males, approximately 18 years old.

Temple Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division identified 18-year-old Esteban Allan Aguilar as a suspect in the burglary.

Aguilar is approximately 5'9", 170 lbs., and has several tattoos on his face.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and/or arrest of those responsible.
