Assault victim succumbs to injuries, case upgraded to murder investigation

TEMPLE, TX — An aggravated assault case has been changed to murder after the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Around 2:20 a.m. on June 14, the Temple Police Department was called out regarding a shooting in the 2300 block of South 55th Street.

A man was found and transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple in critical condition.

On July 28, the victim succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as 59-year-old Timothy Drabick.

Initial investigations have determined that Drabick was the victim of foul play.
