Police arrest 'armed and dangerous' man wanted for shooting, killing woman during domestic disturbance

KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Police Department has located a man wanted for shooting and killing a woman during a domestic disturbance.

Police said that around 9:30 a.m., the United States Marshal Service - Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (Waco) and the North Texas Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Harrison in Dallas on the arrest warrant for the murder of Emma Jones.

"We’d like to thank everyone that assisted the department in locating this suspect," the Killeen Police Department said.

Officers were called out to the 2600 block of Lewis Street around 8:22 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, in reference to a shooting victim.

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White in critical condition.

On Monday, September 21, the victim, identified as 43-year-old Emma Jones, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead around 8:10 p.m. by Justice of the Peace GW Ivey.

Through an investigation, detectives determined that the victim and suspect were involved in a domestic disturbance which led to the shooting. The suspect was identified by witnesses on scene.

The case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney's Office and a complaint was returned charging 48-year-old Chance Anthony Harrison with murder.
