Affidavit: Man pulled woman by hair, carried her to alley and raped her

KILLEEN, TX — A man is in the Bell County Jail after being accused of grabbing a woman by her hair and raping her in an alley in Killeen.

The arrest affidavit said that Killeen police were dispatched to the 1300 block of E. Veterans' Memorial Blvd. on Nov. 23. Bystanders told police that a woman was attempting to wave cars down in the road for help after she was sexually assaulted.

The victim told officers that she was locked out of her home and was attempting to find a place to charge her phone. As she was walking, she passed a man that appeared to be speaking to himself.

The victim said that the man pulled her by her hair and started to hit her. He picked her up and took her to an alley, where he continued to hit her. The man, Justin Freeman, ripped off her underwear and raped her. When he was done, he walked away, and the victim ran for help.

The victim had visible injuries on her face and a missing shoe, underwear and I.D. The victim was able to give a description of her assailant to officers.

When police arrived to the crime scene, they found the victim's missing items. They also saw a man that matched the victim's description.

The man, Freeman, had blood on his hands and jacket. Freeman told police it was his blood, but he had no injuries.

Police detained Freeman and showed a photo of him to the victim. The victim cried out, "that's him... that's him... I'm 100& sure that's him."

Freeman is being held in the Bell County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is being held on sexual assault charges.
