BELTON, TX — The arrest affidavit for the suspect accused of killing a 15-year-old shows he found the teen using Snapchat.
The affidavit said that on Jan. 2, the Belton Police Department said that officers arrived on scene and found a man giving CPR to Joshua Reyner. Police quickly discovered that Reyner has been shot.
Reyner was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The affidavit revealed that Reyner was calling out for help before he died. The man on scene was asleep and awoke to see Reyner collapse.
After investigating, the affidavit said that police discovered Reyner was messaging a user with the Snapchat name "FEDMONEY3". Reyner was offering weed for the unknown user to buy.
Investigators were able to tie the account to the suspect, John Ryan Osborn.
One witness told officers that he was with Osborn later in the evening. The witness told police they swung by the house to buy weed.
The affidavit said he told officers Osborn walked to Reyner to get the weed, and then Reyner grabbed Osborn.
Osborn pulled out a firearm and shot Reyner, according to the affidavit.
