TEMPLE, TX — Temple Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire Sunday morning.
Officials said at 2:14 a.m., they reported to a house fire at 715 North 5th Street.
The first arriving unit reported heavy fire coming from the front corner of the one-story house. Firefighters were told a person was possibly inside the house.
Crews entered the back of the house to conduct a search and encountered heavy smoke.
The fire was extinguished and under control at 3:13 a.m.
The house received extensive damage and is considered a total loss. A dollar loss to the house and contents have not been determined.
There were no injuries and five people were displaced.
The American Red Cross is working to assist the people with their immediate needs.
Temple police, Temple EMS and Oncor Electric were also on the scene.
