TEMPLE, TX — The Temple Police Department said that a 49-year-old man has died after getting struck by a vehicle in Temple on Monday.
The man was identified as Paul Pennington. The incident happened on the 900 block of S 1st St.
Officers were advised that the driver of a 2001 Mazda pick-up was traveling northbound on North 1st Street when the victim crossed in front of the vehicle. The driver attempted to avoid the victim, but was unable to do so.
The department's Traffic Reconstruction Unit is continuing it still investigating the accident.
