2nd victim, 19 years old, dies in hospital days after crash in Killeen

KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Police Department said another person has died after a crash on SH 195 on Saturday. 19-year-old Vivian Michelle Gonzalez succumbed to her injuries on Monday.

One person had already died in the crash. Three others are in the hospital.

The crash occurred at 11:10 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 195 and Chaparral Road.

Police determined the driver of one vehicle, a Hyundai, was sitting at a red light on Chaparral Road. When the light turned green, the driver attempted to proceeded through the intersection at the same time another vehicle, a gray Armada, headed northbound went through the red light and collided with the Hyundai.

Officials say the driver of the Hyundai, 21-year-old Patrick Lee Stephens, was pronounced dead the scene. The passenger of the Hyundai. Gonzalez, was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Three people inside the Armada all sustained minor injuries, according to police.

The crash is still under investigation by Killeen PD's Traffic unit.
