Donna Conrad currently works as a sports anchor and reporter for 15ABC in Bryan-College Station.

From a young age she fell in love with playing sports and watching them. When she wasn’t on the softball field, she was getting up before school to watch ESPN or staying up late to watch the Yankees and Cowboys.

Growing up in New Jersey, she was able to attend many Yankee games and despite living a ways away from the Lone Star state, her family made multiple trips to Texas to watch the Cowboys.

In addition to playing softball, she was the sports editor of her high school newspaper ‘The Voice’ and won the Courier News’ student sports writing contest for an op-ed piece from her column ‘Bottom of the 7th.

After high school she continued her softball career at the University at Albany where she majored in journalism and was an All-Conference Division I outfielder for the Great Danes. While there she won two conference championships and played in the Tuscaloosa Regional in 2017 and the Eugene Regional in 2018.

While at UAlbany she produced and co-hosted, UAlbany Overtime an on-campus TV show that focused on everything Great Danes Athletics. During her off-seasons she would shoot video for fall and winter sports and run replays for live streams.

After graduating in 2018, she went on to work for the Tri-City ValleyCats (Houston Astros Single-A team) directing their live stream and in the fall of 2018 she took a job at MLB Network as a Media Management Associate. In 2019, she won an EMMY for working on MLB Tonight and was also a producer on the Sports Emmy Team that put together the Network’s Emmy Submissions.

In the winter of 2021, Donna became a sideline reporter for ESPN+ covering the UAlbany Women’s Basketball team. She’s also worked for ESPN+ as an on-air game analyst, calling the Ohio Valley Conference Softball Tournament.

Over the years, Donna loved to dive deeper into the human interest side of sports and tell the stories behind the athletes that connect them to the everyday fan. She believes sports and the human connection is a great way to bring people together.

She loves country music, finding the best food spots, golfing, and walking her dog, Brooks. On her off days you’ll most likely find her out on the golf course, or watching her favorite teams play on TV!

If you have a story idea you'd like to share with Donna, send her an email!
