Most of the time, falling asleep on the job is not exactly the way to become employee of the month.

If you’re working for the website Eachnight, however, falling asleep is not only a welcome part of the job, but it’s actually required. The website, which creates guides and offers advice on how to get better sleep, is looking for a professional napper — someone who will literally sleep while on the job.

They’re hiring a team of five people to become “nap reviewers” to test a few theories behind the pros and cons of napping in order to provide their community with some valuable insight. The job applicants lucky enough to score the gig will get $1,500 for their time spent napping.

If you want to join the team of nap reviewers, you will need to be prepared to start work right away, as well as be committed to napping every day for 30 days.

You must be able to sleep alone during the testing period to ensure that the naps are undisturbed. You must also have strong English writing skills in order to accurately review your naps and follow any instructions. You must be 18 years of age or older, and your application must be submitted by May 31, 2021.

During the 30 days, you will be required to take part in experiments testing out different nap theories, like the best nap duration for feeling refreshed, the effects of napping on overall levels of fatigue and the effects of napping on memory, motivation and productivity.

You will also be required to take part in a video call before and after each experiment, to ensure you understand the tasks fully, and to complete a verbal questionnaire detailing your experiences and results.

To apply, just visit Eachnight’s website and fill out a short form. You’ll need to provide basic information like your name and date of birth, plus explain why you think you would make a good nap reviewer, including your love of sleep and napping and any relevant review-writing experience.

Will you be applying for the position of nap reviewer to earn $1,500 while sleeping?
