SALADO, TX — Many businesses have been forced to shut down their store front, but some are finding ways to keep their doors open during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 1861, the historic Stagecoach Inn stood the test of time.
However, an unprecedented pandemic now has the business bending over backwards to keep customers coming in.
The Stagecoach Inn has even dropped their rate.
“We’ve been offering $99 during the week. We’re ready to negotiate. We really want to keep people happy," said Terry Rawlins, manager/director of Stagecoach Inn. "We’re offering take-out to the community.”
Just up the road, independently-owned JD’s Travel Center and Grill is selling gas for under a dollar.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw the 99 cents,” said one customer.
