SOMERVILLE, TX — A wreck on Hwy 36 in Somerville caused half the town to lose power Sunday.
According to Entergy's outage website, a vehicle hit their equipment on Sunday morning causing an outage.
The outage was reported around 11:28 AM.
A spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety said one vehicle hit a utility pole on Hwy 36 in Somerville, causing half the town to lose power.
The Somerville Police Department said the power is out from 8th street down to 12th street requiring some businesses to close.
The right lane is closed until power is back, according to police.
Entergy's outage information reports 90 customers in the area are still affected.
Crews are on site making repairs. The time of restoration is estimated for 6:30 PM, according to Entergy.
DPS said no major injuries were reported from this wreck.
