Recycling center for used oil and tires opening Feb 1

BRYAN, TX — On Feb 1., the City of Bryan will be open up their recycling services to allow residents, the free opportunity, to properly dispose of the following:

  • Used motor oil, filters, and cooking grease (up to 5 gallons per visit)
    • Restaurant cooking oils, used oils/filters from mechanic shops and industrial oils will not be accepted
  • Used Tires (up to 8 per visit)
    • Accepted materials include used passenger, light and medium duty tires (on or off rim)

Note: Tires and oils generated from commercial or industrial use will not be accepted; this includes Tractor-trailer and heavy equipment tires as well.

Located at 1111 Waco St., the facility will be open from 8 A.M.- 5:30 P.M. (Mon-Fri), and then 8 A.M. to noon on Saturdays.

Bryan residents are advised to enter on Waco St, and stay in their vehicle, until an attended approaches them.

Additionally, residents are advised they may be required to show proof of Bryan-residency/solid waste residential customer (ex. BTU bill or driver's license).
