Man wanted after allegedly reversing his pickup towards deputy during traffic stop, taking off

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly reversed his pickup towards a sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop then took off.

Around 1:43 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, the Texas Department of Public Safety was conducting a traffic stop in the area of I-45 North and Rayford Road. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to assist.

Authorities say during the roadside interview while the male driver and female passenger were being identified, they fled.

The man fled to the vehicle and allegedly attempted to flee by reversing his pickup towards a sheriff's deputy. The deputy and the DPS Trooper discharged their duty pistols "in an attempt to stop the threat to the deputy's life."

The truck sped off and was later found unoccupied in the area of City Plaza Drive in Spring, Texas.

Authorities say the woman fled south on foot in the area of the Lexus dealership, located at 24222 I-45 North in Spring, Texas.

The driver has been identified as 28-year-old Tyler Scott Goodson. He is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is currently wanted for five warrants, including criminal mischief, evading arrest with a vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (x2), and burglary of a vehicle.

The passenger was identified as 29-year-old Rebecca Ashley Orange. She was located and taken into custody around 4:36 p.m. Orange was wanted for felony theft charges.
