COLLEGE STATION, TX — On Jan 28., 25 News confirmed with Brazos DPS police intelligence operations (PIO); that the following two Troopers have returned to work, following recent OIS investigations.
William Thomas Kettler, a Trooper since March 27. 2009 and Justin James Ferguson, a Trooper since July 5. 2011 are now back on the job as of this morning.
Due to the active status of the investigation, neither CS police, nor Brazos DPS PIO, could confirm if either had shot at Stalling during that traffic stop turned fatal.
As KRHD previously reported, on Jan 21., around 1 A.M., a surveillance effort by a College Station police unit over Ryan Stallings, ended in a fatal officer-involved shooting.
Following this, on Jan 26., KRHD confirmed with College Station police that Celeste Perez, Stallings' girlfriend, was a passenger in the vehicle during the officer-involved shooting. Since then, Perez been charged for her involvement in drug trafficking; with CS police finding about over 17 kilos of narcotics, with an estimated value of $452,800, at their shared residence.
