BRAZOS VALLEY, TX — Attention Brazos County!

On Jan 9., Walmart announced 4 of its local pharmacies will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines through the U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.

"In partnership with the CDC and participating states, Walmart is working to move as quickly as possible to help administer vaccines to eligible populations." wrote Walmart in a press release Tuesday.

How do I sign up?
All eligible patients may schedule an appointment, by clicking right here. You will be asked to create a profile that requires a valid email address.

Am I allowed to sign up?
As of Feb 9., said Walmart pharmacies will follow the same guidelines as recommended by the State; those available to be vaccinated, include people in groups 1A and 1B.

Phase 1A and 1B individuals are eligible to receive a vaccine at these pharmacies, regardless of where they currently reside in Brazos County or anywhere.

  • Phase 1A: Front-line healthcare workers and residents at long-term care facilities
  • Phase 1B: People over 65 or with a chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19

How many vaccines do they have available?
As of Feb 9., Walmart has not disclosed how many vaccine doses will be available at any of their locations in Brazos County. However, Walmart has stated whatever supply they have will be limited.
