Three dead, one injured after crash on Hwy 90 near County Road 180

GRIMES COUNTY, TX — Three people are dead and one was transported to the hospital after a wreck on Highway 90 near County Road 180 in Grimes County Friday.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the fatality crash that occurred on Highway 90 near County Road 180.

According to DPS, three people died in the crash and one person was transported to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan. The condition of the injured is unknown.

A spokesperson for DPS said two vehicles were involved in the wreck.

The identities of the deceased were released on Feb 1. and include:

The driver of the Honda, 28-year-old Anel Ovidio Javier, of Lewisville, TX, who was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.

Additionally, the passenger of the Honda, 20-year-old Erick Almonte Nunez, of Lewisville, TX, was also pronounced deceased at the accident scene.

Finally, the passenger of the Ford, 69-year-old Lorraine Cunningham out of El Campo, TX, was pronounced deceased at the scene as well. The driver of the Ford, a 68-year-old out of El Campo, TX, was transported to St. Joseph (Bryan) in serious condition.
