College Station police locate man with felony arrest warrants during unrelated service call

COLLEGE STATION, TX — On Dec 30., around 1:40 p.m., College Station officers were attending to an unrelated service call on the 400 block of Harvey Road, when a man suspected of felony arrest warrants, was recognized.

When officers attempted to detain Billy Charles McClenton, a 36-year-old Hearne resident, he ran away.

According to their official Twitter, McClenton "physically resisted being detained in handcuffs, requiring the efforts of three officers to safely effect the detention."

Once detained, two felony arrest warrants (one for Theft and one for Forgery) were confirmed as active.

McClenton was arrested on those warrants, and additionally charged with Resisting Arrest and Evading Arrest or Detention, both Class A Misdemeanors.

College Station police confirm force was used by one of their officers during this incident and shared, "As with any use of force, this incident will be reviewed by the supervisory chain of command in accordance with policy."
