COLLEGE STATION, TX — Are you having a hard time keeping up with all the special tax treatments for forestry?
Texas A&M's Forestry Service is hosting a daylong virtual workshop that will, "provide basic information about timber taxation, and the latest changes to tax laws, and rules, for 2020 tax return preparations."
Topics addressed will include: local timberland property tax incentives, federal timber income tax issues, and overpaying taxes on timber income.
As described on their website, "The workshop is designed for forest landowners, consulting foresters, local accountants, attorneys, and others who work with forest landowners in matters pertaining to timber taxes."
