COLLEGE STATION, TX — On Jan 17., around 7:09 P.M., a College Station police officer responded to an open door report on 1725 Harvey Mitchell Pkwy.
Upon arrival, the probable cause statement states, the officer, "observed a strong odor of freshly burnt marijuana, coming from a vehicle".
Upon approaching the complex, the officer states they saw a male and female exit said vehicle and enter into an apartment unit.
Finishing the door call, officers state the same male, " walk up to and access" said parked vehicle located at the apartment complex's lot.
Upon approaching the male, the officer informed him that, " due to him smelling of marijuana, as well as the car", the officer would be inspecting both.
The defendant then electively chose to confess to the officer he had some cannabis in his wallet, stored inside the center consul; the likes of which, he confirmed to have been smoking outside in his parked car, just prior to the police arriving.
According to the probable cause statement, the total cannabis seized weighed 0.04 ounces.
