LEXINGTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police say a man got too close to the open water at Lexington State Harbor in Lexington, Michigan. That's when the man's truck went through the ice and became partially submerged.

The man, who is from Kimball, managed to escape but decided to go back to his truck for some reason.

His truck then went underwater.

Fortunately, another fisherman was able to grab the man and pull him out. It turns out the rescuer was also the man's nephew, however, they didn't realize this until after the rescue.

According to the Lexington fire chief, the man refused to go to the hospital following the incident and did not receive EMS treatment on the scene. The man was then arrested, however, police have not confirmed the reason for arrest but suspect alcohol was involved.
