Texan Kacey Musgraves wins Album of the Year at Grammys

Texan Kacey Musgraves won the Album of the Year at the Grammys on Sunday for her album Golden Hour.

Musgraves was up against Cardi B for Invasion of Privacy, Brandi Carlile for By The Way, I Forgive You, Drake for Scorpion, H.E.R for H.E.R, Post Malone for Beerbongs & Bentleys, Janelle Monáe for Dirty Computer, and Black Panther: The Album From And Inspired By.

In all, Musgraves took home four Grammy awards.

Earlier in the night, Musgraves won the Grammy for Best Country Album for Golden Hour, Best Country Solo Performance for "Butterflies" and Best Country Song for "Space Cowboy"

The 30-year-old was born in Golden, Texas and graduated from nearby Mineola High School in 2006.

Golden Hour is her fourth studio album.

In previous years, Musgraves won the 2014 Grammy for Best Country Song for "Merry Go 'Round," and the 2016 Grammy for Best Country Album for her first studio album Same Trailer Different Park.
