The Waco Diaper Bank has been serving the community by distributing about 3,000 diapers to their partnered organizations per month.
With the partial Government shutdown still ongoing, the organization has been distributing 1,500 extra diapers to Caritas each month. The effect of the shutdown has lead the diaper bank to help where they see a need.
"We just want to help our people in our community who are in need, wherever that need might arise, and so if it comes because the Government shut down and people aren't working and not being paid, then we want to help out there as well," said Ellen Filgo, Director of the Waco Diaper Bank.
