A 20-year-old woman will spend 180 days in jail and receive deferred adjudication, a form of probation, for a fatal crash in 2016.

On Tuesday, a McLennan County Judge gave Savannah Cardoza that sentence after accepting a plea agreement.

In November, Savannah Cardoza pleaded guilty to manslaughter, aggravated assault and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The former Midway High School student, who was using a car without permission, drove the wrong way on highway six and crashed head-on with an 18-wheeler truck on Nov. 3, 2016.

The truck driver, Donald Ray, died after the accident. The passenger of another vehicle, O'Neal Mbakwe, was injured following the incident.
