Hospital staff in Killeen rang in the new year with a new name.
What was once Metroplex Adventist Hospital is now AdventHealth Central Texas.
Those involved say it was not just a name change but instead a major milestone in a nationwide transition of patient care.
"The good care that you have seen in the past at Metroplex will now go to a whole new level. Through it's the way you will experience care here which is part of this new brand," said President and CEO of AdventHealth Central Texas Kevin Roberts President and CEO of AdventHealth Central Texas.
What used to be 30 different brands under the Adventist Health System is now one unified brand called AdventHealth which serves more than 5 million patients each year.
