Bastrop ISD said that a bus carrying students from Cedar Creek High School to Cedar Creek Middle School was involved in an accident on Wednesday. No one was seriously hurt.
Fox7 Austin said the crash involved an 18-wheeler. DPS Sgt. Robbie Berrera said the trucker wasn't hurt in the accident. Barrera added that the trucker says his brakes failed before he hit the bus.
The district said there were 19 students on the bus at the time of the crash. Ten of those students were transported to hospitals in the area.
The school bus driver was also taken to the hospital. The crash was at Tucker Hill Lane and Highway 71.
The accident remains under investigation.
