The Limestone County Sheriff's Office said that a man and a woman were arrested for drug possession on Friday morning. The sheriff's office said the woman was assaulted and was being held against her will.
The incident happened in the Prairie Hill area.
Deputies located the vehicle the suspects were driving at the Prairie Hill store and found meth, heroin and marijuana,
While the deputies were waiting for a tow truck, the man tried to escape but failed. Both suspects were transported to the Limestone County Jail.
