McLennan County candidates met and tabled with the public at a special event Tuesday night.
Waco League of Women Voters and KWBU collaborated together to host a candidate meet and great.
The organizations invited many McLennan County candidates from State Representative to the city council.
The event was followed by a forum for State Representative, District 56 and County Commissioner Precinct 2.
The organization said that this event is a great way for voters to get to know the candidates and narrow down the decision.
"You know, I've stood in the voters’ booth and looked at names I didn't recognize before. Especially in local elections, not every candidate can afford a lot of mailers. There's just really nothing like meeting a person and asking them why they're qualified for this office,” President of the Waco League of Women Voters, Ivy Hamerly said.
McLennan County elections will take place on Nov. 6.
