The Temple Police Department said that an accident on southbound I-35 near exit 303, or Spur 290, is causing delays.
TxDOT said that an 18-wheeler hit a crash cushion, causing the backup. They added that traffic is backed up almost to Berger and Hart Rd.
Hazmat will be needed to clean up spilled diesel fuel. TxDOT said the cleanup will take another 1-2 hours.
