The toddler who was found dead on a Galveston beach has been identified.
The little boy, nicknamed "Little Jacob," washed ashore near the 700 block of Seawall Blvd. on Oct. 20, 2017.
The Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday that "Little Jacob" has been identified as Jayden Alexander Lopez, 4. Lopez's mother, Rebecca Suzanne Rivera, 34, and her girlfriend Dania Amezquita Gomez, 31, have been arrested in connection with the case.
The Chronicle reports that Rivera is being held on a $250,000 bond on a charge of tampering with evidence.
An autopsy had found that Lopez was already dead when he was placed into the water, as well as signs of neglect and abuse.
