Fire Marshal's have ruled that a fire set at a pool hall was intentionally set on Tuesday.

The Killeen Fire Department was alerted by people in the area who smelled smoke around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday.

When firefighters arrived at the Stix Pool Hall on Rancier Avenue, they saw heavy smoke coming from the roof. It took crews 45 minutes to put out the flames.

Firefighters said only Stix was burned. The business suffered heavy fire damage inside. Neighboring buildings had smoke inside, but it was cleared out before opening for business.

The State Fire Marshal's Office brought a K-9 accelerant dog to the scene. They said the fire was intentionally started in the bar area. The cause and what was used to start the fire is pending lab results.

No injuries were reported in the fire.

The Killeen Fire Marshal's Office has a person of interest and is still continuing the investigation.
