An 18-wheeler caught on fire, causing back up on Interstate 35 Friday afternoon.
TxDOT said the report came in just before 1:40 p.m. Traffic had backed up through Elm Mott to Lacy Lakeview on northbound Interstate 35.
Officials said the 18-wheeler caught on fire, but the driver was able to separate the truck from the trailer. The fire spread to the grass but was put out just after 2 p.m.
