A Central Texas man has been displaced from his home following an early morning fire on Tuesday.
Five engines from the Waco Fire Department responded to the house at the corner of HW Fair Drive and Speegleville Road just after 1 a.m. Firefighters say flames were coming from the back of the house when they arrived, but they were quickly extinguished.
Fortunately, the man inside was able to evacuate safely after being awoken by fire. Waco fire officials say he will be staying with family, while the cause is being investigated. He was not injured.
