The Rosebud police chief Quincy Lee resigned on Aug. 4 after a complaint was submitted against him in July, Keith Whitfield, the city administrator confirmed.
Whitfield confirmed that it was a sexual harassment complaint. The administrator said that an officer on the all-male police force had filed the complaint.
In October, Lee would have been with the department for five years.
The Rosebud City Council accepted Lee's resignation Monday night at a city council meeting.
There has not been an interim police chief named but the Rosebud mayor said that Whitfield will oversee the police department for the time being.
