Police: Shots fired during Waco bank robbery

Police are searching for a suspect they say robbed a Waco bank. 

Waco police said the incident happened before 6 p.m. at the Chase Bank located on 320 N. New Road. 

According to police, a man in his 20's, wearing a gray/green hooded sweatshirt, black pants, a mask, and carrying a shotgun entered the bank and fired a round into the ceiling, demanding money. 

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on New Road towards Franklin Avenue. 

Witnesses of the robbery say the suspect was driving a mid-2000, tan-colored pickup truck. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on New Road towards Franklin Avenue. 

No one was injured in the robbery. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
