A vacant Temple home was completely destroyed after a fire broke out early Sunday morning.
Fire crews responded to a home in the 500 block of South 10th Street just after 2:30 a.m. Firefighters found a heavy fire showing from the wood-framed house. Part of the roof was collapsed when crews arrived on scene.
The blaze was extinguished from the exterior, a defensive attack.
It took crews about 15 minutes to get the fire under control, but the vacant house was completely destroyed.
There were no utilities to the house.
According to Thomas Pechal, spokesman for Temple Fire and Rescue, due to the extent of the damage, the cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined.
