COLLEGE STATION, TX — Officials said a commercial jet was evacuated at Easterwood Airport in College Station on Saturday after reports of fumes. The jet was carrying 41 passengers.

Officials said it was an American Eagle flight, which is operated by Envoy Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines. The flight was coming in from DFW.

The jet landed safely and was then evacuated, according to College Station Fire Department spokesperson Carter Hall. At that time, the fire department moved in to check out the plane.

Hall said no injuries were reported.

The jet has now been taken out of service and maintenance is looking at it now, said Martha Thomas, spokesperson for American Airlines.

According to Thomas, all 41 passengers have been booked on another flight to Beaumont.
