HILLSBORO, TX — A bus driver was killed early Sunday morning after a wreck on I-35 north.
The Hillsboro Department of Public Safety say police and fire units responded to a crash involving a bus and two semi trucks around 2:30 a.m. near mile marker 365.
The bus driver was deceased when officers arrived, according to Hillsboro DPS.
The Hill County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Safety closed the interstate so that passengers on the bus and the drivers of the semi-trucks could be evaluated by medical responders.
One semi-truck driver was transported to a hospital in Waco.
The Abbott Fire Department CareFlite, Hillsboro Police, and Hillsboro Fire also responded.
Hillsboro DPS say the investigation is ongoing.
