ELM MOTT, TX — Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers is currently investigating a crash on IH 35 southbound near mile marker 343 in Elm Mott.
Traffic is being diverted at exit 342B near New Dallas Road to the next entrance ramp.
IH 35 southbound at this location is expected to be shut down for up to 4 hours.
Please seek an alternate route.
Just before 7 AM, a tractor-trailer was traveling south on IH-35 when the driver experienced a medical episode that caused the driver to swerve onto the service road and into a ditch where they hit a billboard.
The driver then came back onto IH-35 and hit the median wall.
The driver was then taken to a local hospital.
